I can only say mostly things about this tv (looking past the fact that my first tv that came DOA). The picture quality is great. You don't need the 120 automotion gargabe unless you really like football. Otherwise, it just makes your films look like soap operas which looks horrible imo. 120hz is nice if you're watching 24 frame video sources because then you get the 5-5 pulldown instead of 3-2 (adds a bit of jitter), but I can't seem to notice the difference at the store. Overall, I don't recommend spending much more for the 120hz if you can get solid picture quality, which the Samsung a550 provides.

Now for the bad -- the sound is awful. I have my tv hooked up to external speakers, so I don't care.. but people who are going to be using the tv speakers -- BEWARE. Compared to my external speakers, it really does sound like someone is talking through muffled tin box. It's horrible, and I could imagine a setup with this tv not including decent external speakers.
