The best place to get a dog is to adopt one from an animal shelter or humane society. This way you can save the life of an animal. Be careful with buying off the internet or pet stores as it is a good possibility that you are supporting puppymills and their cruelties. There is no reason to breed more dogs when there are so many pets looking for homes and so many that will die waiting. I found my dog at the Humane Society in Atlanta and she "knows" that I saved her. She is the best, most grateful dog in the world! Another good resource is petfinder.com. Well said, i completely agree with the above statement. I think insted of being selfish, you are doing a lot of good towards society, animals and helping a live one. I love my dogs to death and i am glad that they are in my life.
