Can't read leopard disk on macbook pro!

Dang, I just got this on my birthday (thanks Fi!), but I put in the disk and my macbook just spits it right out! Argh! I read a few pages on the internet, but they all say I gotta either get a new disk or replace my drive -- yeah right! All my other disks are JUST fine, so I don't really know what to do.. I'm tempted to not even install this thing until I get more word from Apple about a fix. Stay tuned.
