Ask for Advice
fi
asks.. "Buy the 5th generation or wait till the 6th generation models drop down?"
They have the 5th generations for like $200 or $300 I think. I think the 6th generation are available too or about $500+ Seems pricey! I wonder if I should buy it at all, and if so, is the extra money for the 6th generation ...

I have hardwood floors and a cat that sheds... a lot.
It's too much work to sweep everyday, so I have huge dust bunnies in every corner of my room.
If you drop a blanket or some clothing on the floor, and pick it up, it'll be covered with fur. EWWWW
So I was thinking about getting a Roomba.
They're kinda pricey, upwards to $500 I think.
My friend has one as one of my relatives. I believe they have an older one, maybe second generation.
I went to Linens And Things the other day and I saw that they sell 5th generation Roombas there, they even had a video about it.
Seems interesting.
What do you guys think about it?
Is it worth the money? I would be concerned that it would freak out my cat, though I guess she'd figure it out eventually.
Another concern is how well it would pick up fur on my wood floors, and if it would fall down my steps.
Also, maintenance, how often would I have to dump out its dust bin? It must be fairly often, it's not like that thing is thatbig!
