Microsoft just announced that they will buy a minority steak in Facebook.
WOW!
This puts Facebook's valuation at $15 Billion Dollars.
This is sure to put pundits at bay and the board of directors at ease since Zuckerberg rejected a $1 Billion (that's billion with a capital B) offer from Yahoo not too long ago.
FYI, Google was rumored at being at the bidding table as well.
Maybe they finally relented because of their investment in Orkut?

Actually, it's not just 1.6%. It's 1.6% and advertising until I think 2011. Either way, that's a lotta money.
